This page is about the booking, not the parts — what each device does is covered on its own page. The reason to take all four together is that the expensive part of compliance is not the hardware, it is the vehicle being off the road four separate times.
Why one visit costs less than four
Booked separately, each install carries its own vehicle downtime, its own trip in and out of the shop, and its own record. Two of the four need the vehicle on a lift; the other two need it stationary with a driver available for aiming. Sequenced together, that is one visit and one driver's day.
Sequenced apart, it is four of each. For a single owner-operator that is four days of lost revenue. For a fleet running a rotation, it is four times the scheduling overhead per vehicle, which is usually the larger cost.
One record instead of four
Booked as a package, the vehicle leaves with a single installation record covering all four devices, rather than four separate documents produced weeks apart that someone later has to collate per VIN.
For a fleet, this is the part that matters most. Chasing four documents across four visits for thirty vehicles is a filing problem that outlasts the install work by a long way.
How the day runs
The vehicle goes up first for the side guards, which is the longest and least flexible part of the day. The camera harness is run while it is still on the lift, since the routing is easier with access underneath.
Mirrors go on last, once the vehicle is back on the ground and the driver can sit in it — both the convex pair and the crossover are aimed with a driver seated, so they cannot be done before that point. Function test and record at the end.
Booking more than one vehicle
Tell us the fleet size and how many vehicles you can release at once. Most fleets cannot spare more than one or two at a time, so we sequence around the rotation rather than asking for all of them.
Vehicle types matter more than count for scheduling: a run of identical trailers moves quickly because the fitment repeats, while a mixed yard of tractors, box trucks and vocational chassis needs each one measured.
Common questions
Can I book the package across two visits?
Yes, though it costs more of your time than ours. The natural split is lift work first — side guards and the camera harness — then mirrors on a second, shorter visit.
What if the vehicle already has some of the devices?
Then the package is probably the wrong booking. Tell us what is already fitted and we will check whether it is sound and quote only what is missing.
How many vehicles can you take at once?
It depends on the mix. Identical trailers move fastest because the fitment repeats; a mixed fleet needs each vehicle measured. Give us the fleet list and we will come back with a sequence.
