PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy

This describes what we collect, why we collect it, and who else sees it. It describes the system we actually run, not a generic template.

What we collect

If you create an account: your email address, your name, a phone number, and a password. The password is stored only as a hash — we cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.

If you place an order: a shipping name, address and phone number, and the contents and total of the order.

If you contact us: whatever you choose to put in the call or the email.

What we never hold

Card numbers. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, and card details are entered into Stripe rather than into our servers. We store only the identifiers Stripe gives us for a completed payment, which let us match a payment to an order and issue a refund. They cannot be used to charge a card.

Cookies

A session cookie, which is what keeps you logged in and keeps your cart attached to you between pages. It is strictly necessary — the site cannot work without it — and it carries no advertising identifier.

Analytics cookies, if analytics is enabled on this deployment, set by Google Analytics. These tell us which pages people reach and which searches bring them here. We do not use them for advertising, and Google Signals — the setting that shares analytics data into advertising products — is deliberately switched off.

We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.

Who else sees your information

Stripe, to take payment. Stripe is the recipient of your card details and holds them under its own privacy policy.

Our email provider, to send transactional mail — order confirmations and password resets. Marketing email is not sent to people who have not asked for it.

Google Analytics, if enabled, for the page-level usage described above.

Our hosting provider, which stores the database the site runs on. Nobody else, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and for handling a later return or warranty question.

An account is kept until you ask us to remove it. Password reset tokens are short-lived and are invalidated as soon as they are used.

Asking for a copy, or deletion

Email support@dotcompliantoutfitters.com or call (603) 453-5961 and ask. We will tell you what we hold and remove it on request.

One limit worth stating plainly: deleting an account cannot delete the order records attached to it, because those are financial records we are required to retain. We will say which is which rather than quietly keeping something.

Still need a person? (603) 453-5961, Mon–Fri 7AM–7PM EST, or support@dotcompliantoutfitters.com.
